SOC 500 - Research Inquiry in Sociology (1/4)

During this course, students will identify and begin preparing for the specific projects they will complete in sociology or anthropology research related block  courses (i.e. research methods, capstone, independent research). In this adjunct course, students will begin developing research questions, determining appropriate research strategies, learning relevant research methods software like SPSS, and/or initiating the IRB process. In addition, students may, after the related block course ends, reflect on and potentially revise their project for a more formal presentation. Prerequisites: two courses in Sociology, including SOC 101  or SOC 102; enrollment in SOC 384 , SOC 390 , SOC 485 , ANT 487 , or SOC 487 .
