EGR 240 - Manufacturing Processes (1)

Explores the processes and decisions involved in manufacturing through project-based learning. Topics include machining, injection molding, casting, welding, and additive manufacturing, and students will work in teams on project management. Emphasizes material and process selection for real-world applications. Students will use the computer lab for 3D design and will learn to operate computerized numerical control (CNC) machines and 3D printers to design and build real-life objects. Prerequisites: EGR 131 & EGR 231
