SOC 348 - Race and Racism (1)

This course explores race and racism in the United States.  Topics include U.S. immigration policy, the social construction of racial identities, the successes of social movements including the civil rights and the treaty rights struggles, and the issues left unsolved by them that continue to face us today. Prerequisites: SOC 101 , ANT 101  or ANT 102 , RES 123 , or permission of instructor. Alternate years.
