REL 127 - Topics: Healthcare and Religion: Communication (1)This course takes an interdisciplinary approach to preparing students for communicating across perspectives regarding personal and societal decisions in healthcare, incorporating aspects of religion, public policy, and the natural sciences. Students will engage with subjects drawn from abortion, euthanasia, rationing of healthcare (especially pertaining to COVID-19), organ donation and transplantation, research ethics, pharmaceutical policy, vaccination policy, and the opioid crisis, through required dialogues, debates, and other synchronous activities. Students will engage in perspective-taking of controversial ideas, sometimes articulating viewpoints that differ from their own. (Humanities)
