KIN 328 - Exercise Psychology & Community Health (1)

Examination of theory and current research regarding the promotion of health as related to physical activity; including psychological, social, community-based, policy, and cultural influences using a public/community health approach.  Topics include health promotion and public health;  psychological variables related to exercise; barriers and facilitators of physical activity; cognitive, behavioral, social, and policy-oriented change strategies for exercise, and consideration of gender, ethnicity, and special needs populations. Prerequisites: KIN 111  & STA 201  or KIN 255
