Study of poets whose work has come to prominence since 1950 and an overview of contemporary poetic trends in America. Poets may include Lowell, Ginsberg, Ashbery, Rich, Plath, Olds, and Graham. Prerequisite: writing-designated course (W), or ENG 201, ENG 202, ENG 215, or ENG 225 Offered every third year. (Humanities)
