There is no departmental major as such. Individualized majors may be developed involving Anthropology and other disciplines, especially Art, Biology, Ethnic Studies, Music, Psychology, and Religion. Requirements

A Minimum of Six Course Credits in Anthropology which Include

ANT 101 - Cultural Anthropology (1)
ANT 483 - The History of Ethnological Theory (1)
ANT 484 - Qualitative Research Methods and Fieldwork (1)

One Area Studies Course

ANT 205 - The Maya (1)
ANT 206 - West Indian People and Culture (1)
ANT 222 - Applied Anthropology (1) when taught in the Bahamas

Two Electives

At least one of which must be at the 300 level.

Note:

The Anthropology minor is not available to students with a Sociology and Anthropology major.
