Environmental Science and Sustainability Minor

The Environmental Science and Sustainability minor investigates the nature of environmental issues from biological, chemical, and geological perspectives. This curriculum focuses on discrete topics but provides an examination of the interconnectedness of issues including resource depletion, climate change, biodiversity loss, and surface water pollution.

Requirements
A total of six courses: three core courses in natural sciences, a course in Geographic Information Systems, and two electives.
One course from each of the following pairs of courses:
Any two classes from one of the following four-course concentration series:
Note
A major and minor in Environmental Justice and Sustainability are also offered; however, students may not combine the Environmental Science and Sustainability minor with the Environmental Justice and Sustainability major or minor. For students majoring in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, no more than two courses from that major may be counted toward the Environmental Science and Sustainability minor.
