HIS 326 - Women in Renaissance and Reformation Europe (1)This course examines the experiences of women during the tumultuous Renaissance and Reformation period (c. 1400-1700). Questions to be examined include: How did women participate in these movements, and how were they affected by them? What ideas about women were debated in this period? How did women’s experiences change during this period? In addition to reading historical documents, in the course we will read, evaluate, and critique modern scholarship on early modern women.
