PSY 384 - Industrial and Organizational Psychology (1)Psychology applied to work. Topics will include: personnel decisions, personnel training, performance appraisal, job satisfaction, work motivation, leadership, organizational communication, organizational development, union/management relations, and work conditions. Emphasis will be placed on critically examining the methods and practices of personnel decisions and performance appraisal through role-playing exercises and consideration of the theoretical and empirical literature on these topics. This course can be used for Personnel and Business Management majors. Prerequisite: PSY 274 or permission of instructor. (Social Science)
