PHY 121 - Astronomy (1)This class focuses on what astronomers have learned about our universe and how they learned it. We will discuss what the universe is made of, how it is structured, and how it has evolved. We will study scientific principles from chemistry, physics, and mathematics that are needed to understand our universe, and we will use those principles to calculate important quantities, such as the distances and masses of planets and stars. Intended for non-science majors. (Science)
