HIS 304 - Europe: the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries (1)This course focuses on the tumultuous period of the Reformation and religious wars, examining the connections between religion and politics, changing social and family structures, and new spiritual ideas and fears. Readings include primary sources and microhistory to explore the beliefs and experiences of ordinary Europeans in this period. Prerequisite: any 100 level History course or permission of instructor. Alternate years. (Humanities)
