SOC 395 - Professionalism and Practice in Public Health, Nonprofits, or Social Services (1)This course includes an internship and experiential learning activities designed to provide students with the opportunity to engage in vocational discovery, develop valuable skills, and be immersed in a professional setting. Students will connect, apply, and reflect on sociological and/or community and public health perspectives and practice in a professional work environment. Students will “try out” a career in social services, public health, and/or nonprofits while gaining relevant experience and professional connections with individuals working in these fields.
