MAT 502 - Capstone Preparation (1/4)

Students will be matched with an advisor from the Mathematics faculty and spend the semester working through the process of choosing a topic for their Senior Capstone Project. Several topics may be explored before settling on the final topic, and the final topic must be approved by the advisor. Common readings in current literature in mathematics also may be assigned. This adjunct course must be taken over Terms 1-4. Students will meet with their advisor for the project for approximately 2.5 hours per block. Students will have brief meetings with course instructors and will also work individually on proposals. The total time commitment will not exceed 10 hours per block.
