FRE 502 - Capstone Portfolio (1/4)

This adjunct course, supervised by a French professor, is required for all French majors. Students must meet with the professor as soon as they decide on a French major to discuss the expectations and process of the senior capstone portfolio and begin collecting artifacts from their French courses. Final portfolio compilation–including revising previous projects, writing new reflective pieces, and self-assessing competencies–will be completed during the spring semester of the student’s senior year, and will culminate in a polished, reflective, and synthetic collection of artifacts from previous French courses as well as assignments completed during this course. Course meetings are mandatory and will total approximately 3-4 hours per block; independent work outside of class meetings is expected.  During class time, students may workshop their assignments, participate in group conversations, and/or conduct self-assessment of skills.

Pass/Fail only.  No alternate grade option.  Quarter (.25) credit course. Prerequisite(s): Senior standing or permission of instructor.
