REL 368 - Topics: Norse Paganism (1)

This course will explore the existence and meaning of Norse Paganism in Western Civilization, working from literary and archeological elements forward into its interpretation and understanding in the present day. We will pay particular attention to the place of pagan thinking in the West, and the means by which the contours of Norse paganism are informed by gender, shamanism, sexuality and violence.
