BIO 108 - Topics: Biochemistry and Society (1)

Biochemistry is happening all around you! This course will emphasize the role of the biological molecules and their impact on our daily lives. We will learn the underlying concepts and discuss societal issues surrounding topics such as genetic engineering, nutrition, fermentation, vaccines, and emerging diseases. Students will gain resources and develop skills to independently explore scientific topics and effectively communicate complex scientific issues to others in their community.
