BIO 235 - Field Biology (1)

Field biology will help students gain an appreciation for the world around them while developing employable biological skills. We will visit local ecosystems such as prairies, woodlands, ponds, and streams during six field trips. Students will gain knowledge and hands-on experience in basic field skills necessary for various ecological and environmental careers or studies. After each field trip, the exploration will continue under the microscope and in the lab, including data analysis with commonly used ecological software. Prerequisite: BIO 142 or permission of instructor
