ENG 225 - Introduction to Multimedia Writing (1)

This course is an introduction to professional and media writing. Students will engage with a wide variety of media, such as digital publishing, podcasts, storytelling in video games, social media campaigns, and writing for marketing. Students will also gain familiarity with the current best practices in writing for media, including rhetorical strategies, visual design, and stylistic conventions. With a particular focus on contemporary forms of writing, this course will introduce students to professions related to writing and communication. Media-specific projects vary depending upon the professor’s expertise. Prerequisites: FYW course
