EDU 410 - Student Teaching I (1)

A 14-week clinical teaching experience under the direction of Cornell faculty and certified K-12 school teachers in approved elementary or secondary schools, taken in conjunction with EDU 420 & EDU 430. Attendance at a bi-weekly evening seminar is required. These three courses (EDU410, 420, & 430) must be scheduled in consecutive terms during the senior year or during a fifth year. Required for a teaching certification recommendation in the State of Iowa. Students must provide their own transportation. EDU 440 may be required or taken as an option, specific student requests/requirements. Prerequisites: All 200- and 300-level Education courses and approval of the Education Department. This course is pre-approved for transcript notation for Ingenuity in Action. To participate and earn notation of completion on your transcript, please complete the Ingenuity in Action application.
