ART 106 - Art, Culture, and the Movies (W) (1)

A thematic introduction to the subjects of art history, the language, and the methods used in the discipline, with a specific focus on the relationship of form and content. The course examines works of art as expressions of social, intellectual, religious, and aesthetic values that also are often referenced in films and advertising. Not open to students who have previously completed a First-Year Writing Course. No alternate grade option. [AH]
