Economics and Business, B.A.

The economics and business department offers four distinct majors: (1) Economics and Business, (2) Finance , (3) Business Analytics , (4) Actuarial Science , (5) Business Management , and (6) Personnel Management .  

Three Additional ECB electives:


  • At least one ECB elective must be at the 300 level (ECB 380, ECB 389, ECB 390, ECB 397, and ECB 399 may not be applied to the 300-level ECB elective requirement)

Note: Students may not double major in Economics & Business, Finance, Business Analytics, Actuarial Science, Business Management, or Personnel Management


Teaching Certification:


Students who are interested in pursuing K-12 certification to teach social studies should seek admission to the Teacher Education Program. See the Education  department section for application and certification information.

Concentrations:


A combination of courses from several disciplines may be used as a basis for advanced training in law, government service, and a number of other professional programs. The Department will assist students in selecting interdisciplinary programs for special purposes, e.g., with the other social sciences and natural sciences for environmental studies, and with history and politics for international studies.
