ENG 329 - Eighteenth Century Fiction (1)Examination of fiction written between 1660-1789. Discussion of the novel and the anti-novel using works such as Pamela, Joseph Andrews, The Female Quixote, Tristram Shandy, and Northanger Abbey. Some discussion of contemporary creative and critical responses to eighteenth-century fiction. Prerequisite: writing-designated course (W), or ENG 111 , ENG 201 , ENG 202 , or ENG 215 . Alternate years or every third year. (Humanities)
