PSY 378 - Abnormal Behavioral Neuroscience (1)How does brain function change when a person struggles with a mental illness? How does the bacterial composition of the gut predict mental health? Why do antidepressant medications work for some patients but not others? This course will explain the biological processes associated with mental illness. We will evaluate the latest science on the biological changes demonstrated by patients with mental illnesses and how their brain function changes with effective treatment. Prerequisites: PSY 161 , PSY 292 , & PSY 363
