MAT 256-1 - Topic: Mathematical Models in Biology (1)

An introduction to the development, use, and analysis of mathematical models in the biological sciences. Mathematical tools such as discrete and continuous dynamical systems, linear algebra, phase portraits, stochastic algorithms that are necessary to analyze and interpret biological models may be covered. Biological topics may include single species and interacting population dynamics, modeling infectious diseases, enzyme kinetics, and quantitative genetics.
