SPA 365-3 - Advanced Topic: The Boom and Post-Boom in Latin America (1)

This class analyzes the explosive literary phenomenon of the 60s and 70s known as the “Boom.” Students will read a selection of works by authors such as Gabriel García Márquez, Julio Cortázar, and Carlos Fuentes with an emphasis on magic realism. Furthermore, we will explore literary trends that follow the Boom generation. Prerequisite: SPA 311. Offered every third year. MOSIER
